What does the Society do?
The Actuarial Students’ Society is the representative body for all Actuarial Science students at the University of Melbourne. Since being founded by University of Melbourne Actuarial Students in the 90’s, the society has been an important link between students, the university, and employers. Our aim is to enhance the social and professional lives of our members. We help prospective actuaries build bridges and make connections with other students, mentors and potential employers.
We host an array of events throughout the year, and all students are welcome to attend. We provide valuable exposure to industry at Contact Night, career luncheons and workshops. Events such as Trivia Night are a great way to make friends and have fun with fellow actuaries. To find out more, have a look at our Events Page.
Our sponsors are industry leaders and always on the look out for the best and brightest. We provide our members with information regarding intern and employment opportunities directly from our sponsors, along with many events where you will brush shoulders with practising actuaries. Be sure to head over to our Sponsors Page and see the companies that partner with the society.
