Contact Night tickets are now on sale! Contact Night is the society’s premier event of the year – it is a formal evening where students have the opportunity to speak and network with representatives from all of our sponsoring companies over drinks and canapes.
Tickets are strictly limited so get in quickly to ensure you don’t miss out!

The club’s annual general meeting is coming up in week 8. This is an opportunity for those of you who wish to get involved with the running of the club to put your hand up to be on the committee!
If you would like to nominate yourself for a position, please email contact@melbourneactuary.com stating your name and the position(s) you would like to run for. You will have to make a short (30seconds to 1minute) speech introducing yourself and then each position will be voted for.

This year the Actuarial Students’ Society is trialing a new event – Sponsors vs. Students’ Mini Golf!
Sponsors from a wide range of our sponsoring companies will be in attendance, so if meandering through a ‘golf course’ talking business one-on-one with sponsors sounds like something you would enjoy then we hope to see you there!
Date: Wednesday 14th of September.
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
Venue: Black Light Mini Golf – Docklands (details below).
Cost: $10 for members, $20 for non-members.
To get your name on the list for this event please contact your year-level representatives who will be announcing this in class! Please note no places will be sold on the evening – you must have signed up beforehand.
Black Light Mini Golf (http://www.glowgolf.com.au/) is located at Level 1, Shop 35 Star Crescent, Docklands Harbour Town, Melbourne, 3008.
Its course features some glow-in-the-dark holes and some Australian themed holes as well as others.

For those of you who are planning to attend the presentation “A Ramble Through the Actuarial Countryside” hosted by the Young Actuaries program (details below):
This event is intended for young working professionals to network and consequently will be useful for those students starting full time work next year to get a head start in relationship building within the actuarial community in Melbourne.
Students should note that this is not designed to be a careers information session aimed towards students and as such may not be suitable for students continuing their studies in 2012.
Third and honours year students who are interested in attending and haven’t registered yet should do so as soon as possible.
